Donations for Casa de Paz Orphanage

I decided to make a go fund me page for my friends Jake and Maggie Hiebert, who work at the Casa de Paz Orphanage in Peru, also known as "Go Ye Ministries." With so many children and insufficient funds, the orphanage may have to shut down. And that is a big problem for the children in need of food clothing and shelter. I can't imagine what it's like living on the streets. When I heard their story, my heart felt for them, and I knew something had to be done. Here is their story.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-Go Ye Ministries was founded by a simple woman with a passion for spreading the love of God. Avis Goodhart landed in Peru for the first time in the early 2000, and after a couple of medical trips to the amazon, God led her to a small town on the northern part of Peru’s cost in the middle of the desert. Her heart broke at the sight of women with their kids rummaging through the dump for food or anything else they could use to live, it took only a warm smile and a lending hand to win the hearts of these women. With hopeful eyes they came up to Avis one day with a request, “would you build us a temple to worship God?” These words became the driving force behind building the church in 2003. But it did not end there, it became apparent very quickly that there were a lot of children either without parents or abusive parents; abuse mostly from men in the moms life. After inviting kids to come stay with her, she quickly found out that there was a law in deed, a law that would not allow her to invite kids off the street into her home but a law that would rather keep them on the street. So work was started to open an official orphanage, they would call it “Casa de Paz” which translated means “house of peace”
Today the ministry is almost better known as Casa de Paz than Go Ye Ministries. Casa de Paz has between 30 - 50 children at any given time, they come and go according to the rulings of the judges, in a years’ time there is about 100 children that pass through here. Some are at Casa de Paz for mere weeks and some stay for years and years, some go back with their own family when the threat has be salved, others are declared abandoned and get adopted by Peruvians and foreigners alike. There was a school started which ran strong for a few years, but the lack of funds and volunteer support made it difficult to maintain, for this reason the school was shut down and the children are now going to a local public school.
There is a wide range of children, ages 0 – 17 both male and female. The intake age is between 0 and 8 years unless there is a family, in which case an exception is made to take older kids so they won’t need to split up.
The amount of money that is needed to keep the orphanage is unreal. We have 6 house moms, a cook, a nutritionist/nurse, a director, a social worker, a guard/maintenance man, and a secretary, all full time employed plus a part time psychologist. Plus all the utility bills and food. It costs on average $12000US a month. This also includes registering new babies or older children who were born in home and where never registered and so are without identification, it includes regular doctor’s checkups for our kids, and dental work. Many kids come with bad teeth that need attention.
So it is my goal to raise one years’ worth of funds for casa de Paz, for all their monthly needs. Go Ye ministries is entirely run by free will donations, it is not supported by any other organization. Other ways to donate to Go Ye Minisitries is through their website http://goye-ministries.com/faith-fifty/

You're prayers and donations are worth more than words can express. It is the love of God that drives us to help those in need, to help God's ministry. Now is the time for our fellow men and woman to help each other out when in need, like we were called to do. Even a donation of $10 is greatly appreciated! Share this however you can! Through social media, text message and more, get the word out there. These children need it, and I'm sure they will be just as grateful as the rest working at Casa de Paz! Thank you for taking the time to read this message of need. We hope it reaches the nations, and don't forget to donate :) Blessings!
