CenGiving- Ghana Beach Clean Up
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Remmi, and I'm a Executive Assistant and Creative at Centric. Over the past year, since the launch of our GoFundMe campaign, we've been tirelessly dedicated to a range of projects aimed at raising awareness about pressing environmental issues and fostering sustainable community development.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to those who have already donated and supported our mission. Your support hasn't gone unnoticed, and we are immensely grateful. However, our journey is far from complete.
Ghana, home to one of the largest fishing industries, is facing challenges that are increasingly daunting. Coastal communities there are bearing the brunt of the damage inflicted by plastic pollution, with their pristine beaches serving as dumping grounds for waste and insane amounts of clothing that has been dumped from the western world.
Your contribution will directly impact the lives of the locals. It will support them in cleaning up their beaches, provide essential tools, equipment, and resources for a cleaner environment, and help develop sustainable waste management solutions.
Centric has been at the forefront of this campaign in London. One significant milestone was our participation in the Southwark Climate Conference, where we presented our ongoing work in fashion and climate action, as well as our initiatives to create green spaces within the community. The enthusiastic response from the audience was truly heartening. Individuals from all walks of life, including local councillors and MPs, expressed a keen interest in joining hands with us.
Our conference stall was buzzing with curiosity as people inquired about our work and our vision for CenGiving. We are humbled by the outpouring of support and the genuine desire of many to assist us in our charitable work.
What's even more inspiring is that some attendees expressed an interest in representing CenGiving in their home countries across Africa. Post-conference, our inbox was flooded with emails. If you share our passion and are eager to become more involved in this campaign or believe you can contribute to our journey, don't hesitate to email us.
We've also cultivated meaningful collaborations with local authorities, including Southwark Council, as we continue our mission of positive community impact.
Our determination remains unwavering. We are committed to ensuring that the people in Ghana have a clean environment they can call home while also advocating for greater accountability in the western world. Your generous donation will be a significant catalyst for change, supporting locals in their pursuit of a cleaner, more sustainable future.
We deeply appreciate your interest in our give-back project, and we extend an open invitation to join us in making a tangible difference!
