Marathon for Mental Health

Throughout my life I have lived in the ebbs and flow of mental health. From having an eating disorder, to bouts of depression, my journey with mental health has been a constant process. I have found the importance of opening up and sharing in hopes that I would feel less alone, and within that space I was able to heal and grow. Choosing me and my own happiness brings me to running the Detroit Free Press Marathon on October 16, 2022. I want to run this marathon to prove to myself that I can cross the finish line. I want to run for all the students I have taught that haven’t been given the proper education on mental well-being and emotional regulation. I run because so many who are near and dear to me suffer in silence and I want them to know that they’re seen and they aren’t alone, and that I love them.
Want to join me in making a difference? Please help me raise money to benefit Canadian Mental Health Association, Ont., any donation will help make an impact.

Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
