Gabby’s full back scoliosis surgery

Donation protected
My very good friend Christina’s 13 year old daughter Gabby, is an active softball player with a lot of love and sass. Her dream is to catch in the SEC.  She was diagnosed with Idiopathic Adolescent Scoliosis (AIS) in October as you can see from the severe curve of her spinal x-ray.  Upon diagnosis her curve had already progressed to 67 DEGEES.  As the curve progresses, it will cause HEART and LUNG issues. The inevitable progression leaves her no choice but to have MAJOR back surgery, involving screws and rods up and down her spine. This surgery will no doubt give her the best chance she has to resume her life and the sport she’s in love with.
The goal is to have the surgery done in New York City by a specialist who is TOP in his field, especially for her age. Her surgery is scheduled for the beginning of August, but unfortunately, insurance will NOT approve the surgery to be out of network.  This is leaving them with major medical expenses including a deposit that must be made to the hospital prior to surgery. Please help me to raise as much possible to help this amazing young girl and family cover as much of the enormousmedical expenses possible.  Those of us know if this was your child, and the surgery was so immense you would only want the best performing it. Thank you so much for taking the time to help......

On June 30th at the VFW on South Park Ave. in Lackawanna a benefit is being organized for Gabby, as soon as more is known I will definitely let you know. Thank you again for any help is appreciated.
