Gabe and Sarah and the Gingerest Cat

Hi, we're Gabe and Sarah. This is Peanut. Peanut was born in our house. He's been with our family for 16 years.

About a year ago he started to have trouble with his teeth. We given him a few rounds of antibiotics to try to control a persistent sinus infection, but the vet tells us he won't prescribe any more medication unless we have the underlying cause addressed, which is a rotten tooth (or maybe more than one) in his upper jaw. The price range they gave us for the extraction is more than we can afford. Without treatment, he'll be back in significant pain and may not make it to the end of the year.

Peanut finished his final round of antibiotics a couple of weeks ago, and his symptoms have improved a lot, but this time they haven't gone away. We are hoping to raise enough funds to schedule the surgery now, when his weight is up and he's eating well, before the infection takes over again. We're hoping to work with Mission Animal Hospital, because they have financial relief and payment plans for low income families, but they will still require 40% down the day he goes in, and they can't tell us exactly how much that will be.
