Gabe Gage has attended Big Walnut since kindergarten and  is now 17 and a junior at Big Walnut Highschool.  He was admitted yesterday into Nationwide children’s hospital with kidney failure.   He has not been feeling well for a couple weeks with flu like symptoms.  Not knowing it was something way worse.  He has had multiple blood transfusions and he has been prepared with a  port for dialysis to be started.  He has had many tests ran today and they are waiting for final results.   The doctors are saying long term medication with frequent testing that will need to be done for the duration of his life or a kidney transplant which is the most likely outcome.   Rob and Sherry Gage have been with him non stop and  Gabe has a long road ahead of him.  As everyone knows the cost of living is hard to keep up with and with added medical expenses and travel things get very stressful.  Rob and Sherry are very hard working people and provide for there kids.  This is a very emotional time.  Sunbury is a great community and I know how we all love to take care of each other.  Prayers are so desperately needed and appreciated.  If you are able, no matter how big or small are able to contribute I know the family would forever be grateful.   I will keep everyone updated as I hear from the family.
