Gabriel Rogers Eagle Scout Project- ET Aquatics

My name is Gabe Rogers. I am set to begin my Eagle Scout project immediately. The project is to benefit the East Texas Aquatics Center which a 501c3 non-profit organization. They have a limited budget, so this project will have a huge impact! ETA needs a deck behind the building to facilitate large numbers of swimmers for meets and other events. I have been a swimmer for many years and noticed, after talking to the people who manage and run the facility, that this has been a long-time necessity. It is my pleasure to build this for them to complete my Eagle Scout project. The project has already been approved, so we can start as soon as the funds are raised. GoFundMe charges a small fee of 2.9% + .30 ($3.20 per one hundred dollars). There was some confusion that it was 15% but that is not the case.

The funds that are raised for this project will be used to purchase supplies to construct the deck. All of the people working on the project will be volunteers, so none of the funds will be distributed to them. This is to benefit East Texas Aquatics Center which has many members who use the facility and occasionally hosts swim meets that have up to 700-800 attendees inside and outside of the building.
