Gabriela crushes Cancer
Donation protected
8 years ago Gabbi celebrated what we hoped would be her final chemo session. This November she starts a new round of chemo. With the new round, Gabbi needs to take a break from work as a personal trainer, as well as pause her physical therapy school she worked so hard to get to.
While we are saddened by the circumstances, we are incredibly grateful for all of the support our community has provided. Since many have been asking about how to help, we decided to create this page in a way to help Gabbi with living and medical expenses while being unable to work. Please do not feel obligated to donate, but if you were looking for a way to pitch in, please consider this an option.
This April Gabbi ran the Boston Marathon. This was an amazing accomplishment for someone who was told they may never walk again the first time cancer came around. Gabbi continued to train, and was hitting personal records, when she was told she had a large tumor in her left lung and the entire lung would need to be removed. We owe everything to the medical team at Massachusetts General Hospital for performing this complex surgery to perfection. We are apprehensive, but grateful, to begin preventative chemotherapy, with the hopes of killing any potential remnants of cancer. Undergoing this treatment was not an easy decision to make, and Gabbi continues to be the strongest, most inspiring person we know. May her story show us all what bravery is, and may we all continue to be there for her in all ways to get through this treatment together and move on to brighter days.
Thank you for your love, your support, and your prayers.
UPDATE: Anything above and beyond Gabbi’s living and medical expenses for the months she will be unable to personal train clients will be donated to Ewings Sarcoma research.
