Gabrielle's Global Health Journey to Ghana
Donation protected
I am a sophomore at Drexel University studying public health on the pre-med track and as a future physician, I plan to dedicate my career to reducing global health disparities. Through World Vision eSwatini, I completed a 10 week internship in Gege, eSwatini, Africa between my freshman and sophomore year of college conducting exploratory research on a maternal-child health education program implemented in rural communities. I have recently been selected to present my research at the Africa Interdisciplinary Health Conference (AfIHC) in Accra, Ghana this summer. The AfIHC highlights research and related experiences conducted in Africa and cultivates an environment for global health leaders to network and engage in professional and personal development. As a college student who is currently taking 19 credits, working as a resident assistant, holding a position on the executive board of a student organization, and volunteering at a hospital, it has not been easy finding the means to fund this opportunity. If you are able to help me, in some way financially, I would greatly appreciate it. I also welcome your prayers as I travel to Ghana!
