Hi everyone! It's your favorite pianist/violinist combo crusher aaaaand that's right, I'm buying my first bow! For the past 17 years- since I was 11- I've used the bow I got with my first full size violin. It's served me well throughout middle school, high school, my Bachelor's, Master's, AND Doctoral degrees, but I'm finally in a financial place where I can start upgrading. And yes I'm still using the same violin too for now at least!
I've decided on a beautiful French bow that's $6,600 (my first bow was a humble $1,000!) and I am soooooo excited for this new chapter. It's a major upgrade!
