Gabrielle's last wish funeral fund
Donation protected
Sadly, this week, Gabby, who was only 23, lost her 12 year battle against cancer. She leaves behind her husband, Matthew, my son, who bravely cared for her at home until her last breath and my two beautiful grandsons, Kai 3 and Oscar 2.
Due to her condition, Gabby was unable to ever work and Matthew was her full-time carer as well as looking after their two boys for the last 4 years. So although there was plenty of love in their home, money has been tight.
Gabby did receive a higher rate of benefit due to being disabled and Matthew claimed carers allowance- however now Gabby has gone both these benefits will stop and so Matthew is faced with keeping the household running on less money, which is a daunting prospect right now.
We have set up this page because the cost of a funeral is way beyond the family's income. Gabrielle always said she wanted to be buried near to her mum and, after fulfilling all of her other dying wishes, Matthew does not want to feel he's failed her in the last one.
So, if you are able and would like to help with a donation towards the £5000 (which is the simplest burial funeral) the family would be so grateful and you would have lifted some of the burden from this unfortunate little trio who really don't deserve the sad hand they've been dealt.
Thank you for taking your time to read this.
