Neil Smith is someone I have known since early in my youth. This year he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. The cancer has presented itself in the form of a large growth in his internal organs. To date, Neil has received 5 weeks of radiation only to be followed by an intrusive surgery. Neil, while employed in the construction industry, has always been frugal but the medical bills may wipe out his life savings even with Medicaid, Medicare, BCBS and Social Security.
