Gaga Ball Pit Dylan Wood’s Eagle Scout Project

Hi, My name is Dylan, I am a life Scout from troop 429 Chesapeake Maryland. I have been involved in scouting my entire life and I have the privilege and opportunity to finally start working on my eagle scout project.

I have chosen to build gaga ball pits in three locations Hallowing Point Park, Solomons Center Park and Prince Frederick Park for CCPS. I chose to build Gaga pits because of the many times I have gone off to summer camp, without exception, my most fun memories arose from the pit. I would love for kids to be able to have that same experience I had, at their local park.

With a very close relation to dodgeball, the goal is to hit others from the knee and below, but in a ring.

Ever since quarantine has trapped us kids in the house, the only thing we could turn to survive through that boredom was electronics. Even my parents get on me for vegging out in front of my Xbox. But with us finally getting to the end of the tunnel, kids need a new game to pull them outside, and Gaga ball will sure do that!

All proceeds will be given back to Calvert County Parks and Recreation.
