I'm Steven Kerzner, I produce a radio show called "Ed the Sock's Nighttime Neighbourhood" weeknights from midnight - 5AM on 94.9 The Rock in the GTA. The audience is more like a community, the Nighttime Neighbourhood, and some members of NN have become regular callers and are beloved personalities. Dorothy Davis is one of these beloved people, and her 16 year-old son Gage had started calling too, a really sharp, funny kid.

On the morning of Wednesday, September 4, 2024, on his way to school, Gage was struck and killed by a train.

We have all felt the shock of this tragedy, but of course, nobody more than Gage's Mom Dorothy. She lost her youngest son, her baby, and in such horrible circumstances.

Unanticipated funerals create a lot of sudden expenses, and we'd like to help Dorothy with those expenses. As well, we'd like to make it possible for Dorothy to take a few weeks off from her self-employed hairstyling job to mourn her son without stressing over money.
