Gail Montanari Lee has been diagnosed with Head and neck cancer: Mucoepidermoid tumor (by definition, malignant) and it has spread to her lymph nodes. It is a recurrence of cancer from 2005.
We don’t know if the thyroid is involved yet or the brain and won’t know the extent of the cancer until the surgery is performed.
Gail is facing surgical removal by breaking her jaw; to be followed by radiation therapy. She will stay seven days in the hospital, her jaw will be wired shut for weeks and won’t be able to work for an unforeseen amount of time. We are hoping to raise money through Go Fund Me in order to avoid losing her apartment, her car, to help pay for Insurances, living expenses, food, utilities, pet expenses and literally to keep the roof over her head.
Gail says, “I am in good spirits and ready for the fight, I don’t want Tashi (my dog) orphaned LOL, AND I plan to beat it.”
