Gail Mullikin Medical Fund

On Monday night, November 30th, my mother, Gail Mullikin fell backward down a flight of stairs.  It appears that she lost her footing at the top of the stairs and tumbled down several times.  She was rushed to Abington-Jefferson hospital via ambulance for treatment.  She is currently in the ICU and has sustained a fractured neck, broken nose and had bleeding and swelling of the brain.  The brain bleed and swelling have subsided and she is conscious and speaking.  She should be moved from the ICU with in the next two days, however, we are still unsure when she will be discharged from the hospital.  Sadly, she has no insurance and funds will be tight, because she will be out of work for the foreseeable future.  We are asking for donations to supplement the income she will be foregoing during this time.  Donations will be for necessities such as rent, food, utilities, and any medical bills and physical therapy costs that may arise during her convalescence.
If you know my mother, you know she would NEVER, EVER, ask for a hand out.  She is a proud, hard-working person.  In these trying times though, this could devastate her financially and emotionally.  My mother would give you the shirt off her back.  If you've ever attended a Christmas Eve or Thanksgiving at our house you will know that it was also a house filled with people who were without family and that would then become family.    Please, if you are able, donate what you can and share with your friends.  I know we are all feeling the pinch because of Covid-19, but we would be most appreciative of anything you could give.
