Hello,

My name is Leilanie Andrews, and I am the cousin of Gail Rose Dargin, or Possum, as her family and friends knew her. My family and I are creating this GoFundMe as we need support to cover the costs of Possum's funeral.

On the 11th of April, 2025, Possum tragically died. Possum was and is an important part of our family, who meant the world to all of us. Her sudden death completely shatters us.

Possum was a proud Blak woman who belonged to the LGBT+ community. Everyone who knew and loved her knows what a character she was. Possum was loving, funny, silly, and caring. Possum was the kind of person who was always dancing, some might say the best dancer out of all of us. She was always smiling and encouraged others to have a good time. Possum cared deeply about everyone around her, she would do anything for someone she loved.

Amid an already challenging time, we face the significant financial stress of paying for Possum's funeral. Each day since Possum's passing has been spent trying to arrange funeral plans, without a spare minute left to grieve. Like many, Possum did not have a funeral fund. We wish to give Possum the send-off she deserves, one that she would have wanted, a chance for those who've known her to say a proper goodbye.

Any donations will go straight towards the cost of Possum's funeral.
