Hello All.....Let me begin by saying Jason would kill me if he knew I was doing this....no seriously he would "Shank a Bish" He is the last guy to ask people for help...that damn Meyer/Michigan pride!
As some of you already know, Jason's mother has been diagnosed with VERY aggressive lung cancer and was given a very difficult prognosis. She has opted to fight for her life receiving double chemo and radiation treatments. Having little family close by to help Gail out with the realities of treatment, Jason has put his life on hold in New York indefinitely to be by his moms side and take care of her making sure she's comfortable and smiling! He has done this with little hesitation or concern for himself or the financial implications on himself, because it’s who he is.
My dear friend continues to enamor me with his love, sensitivity, and devotion to his family. I am constantly telling Jason he's our lil "Pisces In Criseeees" but this time it seems warranted. The past couple weeks I sat idle thinking "How can I enjoy my Thanksgiving and Christmas while our dear friend is giving completely of himself to ensure his mother is financially secure, in a time of major uncertainly and the inability to work during such strong treatment, and most importantly planning how he is he going to give her the best possible holidays and memories during this difficult time.
My thoughts are with all of you who have lost a parent. I truly can't imagine what is going through Jason’s mind as I type this.....I find it unbearable! Please take a minute out of your day to call your family, to hug them, to love them!
I know money is tight for everyone right now but if you could find it in your heart to help Gail, Jason, and their family out in any way I would truly appreciate it! There is no doubt that every penny of this donation will be used to alleviate the financial stresses involved in this type of situation and allow the family to focus on what is most important.
