Gale aka Scooty Hillman and Hillman Family

Hi my name is Leanne Hillman and my husband Scooty Hillman has been battling more health issues with his heart. He has been sick for quite some time and unfortunately his defibrillator became infected and caused him to have a horrible blood infection. He was sepsis and it impacted his ability to walk, talk, and think straight. He was in the hospital from 8/3-8/18 and because of the infection and it going to his brain had to stay at a rehabilitation facility to get occupational and physical therapy to help with his walking and talking. He was released from there 8/26 and once home started having a hard time catching his breath. On Monday 8/29 he passed out and had another heart attack where his life vest (defibrillator) had to be triggered to get him up. The ambulance took him to the hospital where he had another episode and his defibrillator shocked him again. They worked to get his heart stable so that he can continue to do the antibiotic treatments so he can get the surgery to put in a new defibrillator/pace maker. Until that time he will have to continue to wear the life vest. Unfortunately while in for his heart he continued to have a difficult time breathing so after other tests they determined that he had fluid in his lungs. They kept him in the hospital a few more days to work towards clearing his lungs while watching his heart function closely and finally sent him home on Friday 9/2. We know this is going to be a long rode for recovery and unfortunately we are having a very difficult time making ends meet since he has no pay coming in. We are needing some help with the mound of copays that will be coming due, and all the household bills that we unfortunately were not prepared to cover without his income coming in. We do not know when he will be able to return to work so I will be cooking meals to sell and hustling with my little lash business to try to bring in extra money but unfortunately it is no where near the amount that is needed to maintain our monthly expenses at this time. Please pray for my family and we would be so appreciative and blessed for any amount you could share to assist with keeping our household a float while Scooty recovers.
