Gallant Veteran George Ducanic Needs Support

Hi, I am Sergeant and Commander Thomas Finn apart of the American Legion Post #3. We are fundraising for an honorary life member of the American Legion Post #3, George Ducanic who has been apart of our organization for many years.
Our dear friend George Ducanic is a veteran who fought in the U.S. NAVY during the Korean War. He has always been involved in the community. He’s been a part of the American Legion Post 3 serving as Commander for 30 years. As well as a part of the American Legion and founder of Youth Baseball in Stamford, CT. Officer for Disabled American Veterans Chapter 13, Representative of the Soldiers, Sailors and Marines, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6933 in Darien, Stamford Veteran of the Year, Marine Corps Reserves, Toys for Tots coordinator for the past 30 years. He is also a Knights of Columbus member, PGA Hole-In-One Pro, and United Way of Western Connecticut Lifetime Achievement Honoree and has volunteered countless hours at the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County.
Unfortunately, George has been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. However, this has not stopped George from helping those in need. He has repeatedly made sure that his team is ready for the upcoming Toys for Tots Drive that he annually holds for the children in Fairfield County.
The funds will be used to help our dear friend with all medical and funeral expenses. As well as keeping his legacy of Toys for Tots going for the future.
We are beyond thankful and appreciative and hope you can help a legacy continue. There is no other person we have known to be more charismatic than George. Aside from the devastating news he still finds it in himself to make others smile. He’s a good jokester. One of George’s Favorite Jokes: Do you carry an extra pair of socks in your bag when you golf? Just in case you get a hole in ONE!
UPDATE: It is with sad news that we would like to update you all that. Our dear friend George Ducanic has passed away today July 15, 2023. May his soul rest in peace.
