Gallaway Family Fund for baby Grayson and Liam

Hello Everyone,

My name is Amber, and I'm pleading for your assistance to help my oldest and dearest friend Heidi and her husband, Tim. Heidi is 22 weeks pregnant with twin boys and was unexpectedly hospitalized on Mother's Day for preterm labor. After hours of test and diagnostic studies, we learned that Baby A (Liam) was nestled right on top of Heidi's cervix, causing pressure and making preterm labor and delivery inevitable. Heidi has undergone rounds of medication treatment to stop her labor, but unfortunately, at this point, her uterus continues to contract intermittently, and her water has ruptured. Heidi and Tim were flown to Oahu last night, where Heidi will receive more specialized treatment, and both baby boys will have access to neonatal intensive care (NICU) upon their arrival.

The future for this little growing family is uncertain. Doctors hope Heidi can hold on until 24 weeks gestation, giving both babies the best chance of survival outside her womb. Right now, the baby's vital organs (brain, heart, lungs, etc. ) simply aren't ready for life outside her womb, which is a devastating reality that Heidi and Tim face. I'm not writing this post to scare anyone, but I want to convey how dire this situation is for both of these soon-to-be new parents.

I firmly believe that the last thing anyone should have to stress and worry about is the financial cost associated with welcoming a child into the world. Not only will the Gallway family be hit hard with the unprecedented medical expenses, but they will also be stationed in hotels that are hundreds of miles away from their home in Hilo just to be near their boys, who will endure months of NICU treatment.

Again, this little family has a long and uncertain road ahead of them, so I am asking for the community's support. To be perfectly honest, Heidi has already endured a lifetime's worth of heartache and grief, and it breaks my heart to see her suffering, not knowing what the future holds for her precious babies, Grayson and Liam.
