Game Haven's get the f out of the mall fund

Hello everyone, it’s Max here. I am here writing this out because Scott refuses to ask for help. Scott and I have come up with a rough estimate for how much this move is going to be because we found a new spot! We have started this business with 100% transparency because we respect each and everyone of you. Here are some of the numbers.

Flooring = 5,000

Outside work = 1,000

Signs (for outside) = 4,000

Walls = 15,000

Security system = 2,000

More furniture & shelving = 3,000

Plumbing = 5,000

Electrical = 2,000

Electronics = 2,000

Internet = 500$

Expand/restock = 15,000

“Hello there. My name is Scott Turner, and I own Game Haven in Marshalltown, Iowa.

I am making this gofundme because I have been told I should. Quite frankly asking for help in any capacity makes me physically ill, but I'm told I am stupid for feeling that way, so here we are. I blame Max.

Recently we have become victims of corporate greed. The owners of the mall we currently reside in have not paid their electricity bill in quite some time, and have racked up a bill of over $180,000. Because of this, they have shut the power off at the mall.

All of the interior businesses have been forced to close, and it's only a matter of time before us outward-facing stores will have to as well.

We are asking for, ugh, help, because we now have to find a new place to operate. Any new place is going to need work to get started, and quite frankly we don't have the funds to do that right now.

We are a small operation, and while we do what we can for the community, especially kids, we don't have a lot of liquid funds available. I, personally, still pay some of the bills out of my day job paycheck so we can operate at a somewhat decent level.

Your contributions will be used for remodeling, signage, upping our stock to accommodate new space, furniture and fixtures, equipment and security.

I pride myself on being upfront and honest about my intentions and decisions. That may make me a terrible businessman; that and/or the fact that I am still learning this crap as I go. Ask me anything and I will answer honestly; whether it be about our plans, where the money goes, how tall Max REALLY is, etc.

Please, don't put yourself in hardship to help us. Don't inconvenience yourself in any way. But, if you want to chip in a couple bucks, it would be greatly appreciated.
