Game Time Elite Gymnastics Startup

Donation protected
My name is Scott Burns and I have lived 31 of 37 years of my life in a gymnastics gym.  I was born in San Jose, CA and started attending gymnastics classes at Santa Clara Valley Gymnastics when I was 6 years old.  Paul Heery was the boys team coach at the time and quickly pulled me from the recreational classes and onto the competitive team due to my ability to tumble because of my mothers background in gymnastics as a child.  As a gymnast I moved to a few gyms trying to seek the ideal training situation.  It was at Top Flight in 1996 when I entered an elite men's gymnastics program.  The gym was dedicated to men's gymnastics and because so our gymnastics BOOMED!!!  We had intersquads against the Swiss National team and were very successful competing against the local college teams as well as having mulitple junior and senior national team members on the team.  Those experiences led me to be able to compete in the NCAA gymnastics program at the United States Air Force Academy.  This helped to fulfill a childhood dream of mine to compete on a men's college gymnastics team and take my skills to the highest level.  That is why I want to open a gym; to give boys the ability to reach their highest potential and to make their gymnastics dreams a reality.

During my coaching career I have had the privelege of coaching many talented athletes.  Hard work has allowed athletes and myself to attend camps and compete at the Olympic Training Center and at the National level for 15 years.  During this time I have had multiple Junior National Development team members, National Qualifiers, a JO National event Champion, as well as having 15 athletes attend and compete in college men's gymnastics programs.  These college athletes have represented schools such as Arizona State University, West Point, Ohio State, Iowa, William and Mary, Springfield, UC Berkeley and Oklahoma.  With all of this being said it's time for a gym to open up in the South Bay that is devoted to producing the most elite men gymnasts possible.  It's GAME TIME!  I know these are crazy times, but I truly believe with everyones support this dream can become a reality, and men's gymnastics will shine above all others.

The Gofundme will go towards equipment and initial start up cost any funds raised above this goal will be used to continue to support the gym and the boys.  I personally have team boys displaced from a gym and I know during these times there are many others as well. Due to the immediate need for a place to train we will be opening doors September 1, 2020.

If you would like to donate any equipment or gym items please reach out to me personally at [email redacted]

Not only will this Gofundme mean a great deal to me in making my dreams become a reality but provide a place that is dedicated to the success of all boys participating in this great sport.  Thank you and I hope to see you in the gym.
