GAME4HOPE - Supporting Pink Ribbon

GAME4HOPE - 24 hour gaming marathon in support of Pink Ribbon.
We are Daan, Adrian, Paul and Jason, 4 friends and 4 gamers.
Earlier this year on January 7, Daan’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her name is Elsbeth. Further testing revealed the tumor has spread to her spine. She is currently undergoing 5 months of chemotherapy, after which she will require a mastectomy and radiation therapy.
And she’s not the only one. 1 in 7 women will get breast cancer at some point in their lives, and Pink Ribbon is dedicated to supporting these women.
It is their goal to prevent cancer where possible, fund research in search of a cure, support (ex-)cancer patients, and support end-of-life care.
We all know someone with breast cancer, and if you don’t, you know someone who does. Together, we can support the charities that fund the fight against cancer.
Due to COVID-19, less people are donating to charities. Fund-raising events are cancelled, so it’s more important than ever that we raise money so they can continue their vital work. An online gaming event is the perfect way to do this - it’s safe, accessible, and entertaining.
On 21st May, Paul, Adrian, Jason, myself, and others from our gaming community will be livestreaming for 24 hours straight as we play various games, starting at 7:30PM BST (2:30PM EST, 11:30AM PST). We will be streaming on twitch.tv/thekaizenking, so why not come join us and cheer us on?
We'll be joined by Josh and Beth, along with GrimLock!
(Pink Ribbon is not registered as a charity with GoFundMe, which is why we set this up as a personal fundraiser. After the event ends, I will personally donate the money directly to Pink Ribbon. Pink Ribbon, part of KWF Kankerbestrijding, is a CBF-recognised charity in the Netherlands.)
