Gandolf’s Legacy Cat Rescue

If you do not know Gandolf's, this is the kind of person she is. Running an errand, she saw a deer on a very busy highway on the side. She stopped in the cold/pouring rain. He was laying there alive but paralyzed. She covered him with her coat. For 3 hours she called every agency to get him help, no one would just like with none of the thousands of cars that passed by- not one stopped. She called some people, of which one she asked to rent a Uhaul... They came to help lift him up and into Uhaul. She took him to a vet, where it was determined he had a broken back and was humanely euthanized. How many people would do this? This is the kind of person she is. Over the past 2 years, I have come to know her inside out. Her selflessness is phenomenal and extends to homeless humans...Her love for animals without discrimination is endless. It does not matter if it is a dog, cat, deer, racoon... She will go to the end of the Earth to help a suffering animal, and now she needs our help more than ever. For 11 yrs, working 100 hrs a week allowed her to rescue every single cat in need that crossed her path. However, as with millions impacted by COVID, losing her job, working any job she can, a $4000 increase in property taxes, and a $500 monthly increase in mortgage payment, the cat's home has gone into foreclosure. Over 11 years, 1600 cats have been rescued by this one person solo off the street. These are cats no one would come for, and no one would help... If you look over 2 yrs of her Twitter feed, you will see the countless babies she has helped and sacrificed everything for, along with the $30,000 plus in vet invoices posted. In late October, an Apartment Complex was trying to kill a colony of cats. Despite everything she is going through, she acted immediately and got them out. Just imagine the devastation to the cat world if this is the end. There will be no one to come for the Cookies (caught in a fox trap, attacked by a predator...) or Milo's. The update section has just a handful of the many cats she has rescued. Please share/or donate. Thank you.
