Gap year volunteer work - teaching overseas
Donation protected
For my much-needed break from studying, I'm taking a gap year, but with this time I'd like to make a difference in kids' lives by doing some volunteer teaching overseas particularly Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania and Thailand.
I have been fortunate enough to experience a wonderful education and pick up skills that I believe are worth sharing. My dream is to help give everyone better opportunities and I hope the work I do in these 6 months will contribute, just a little, to reach this goal.
Teaching and a love for maths is something that runs throughout my wonderful family and I hope I live up to some of the great teachers - my granny being one of them.
I will try my best to try to create fun and engaging lessons for children aged 3-16. I will be able to offer emotional and educational support to these children who wish to better their lives through education.
Of course, my parents are insisting I take a safe trip - within an organised charity group, which means I have a lot of saving to do before I go.
For my 18th birthday - nothing would make me more happy than to raise money towards my trip.
Thank you for reading this and for any support you can help me with.
