Support Hussein to evacuate Gaza and access care

Meet Hussain, a vibrant, smart, hardworking engineer, and dedicated employee at 28 years old. He is the sole provider for his family of 10, residing in the southern region of Gaza. Amidst turmoil, his family sought refuge in a makeshift shelter, clinging to hope amidst chaos.
His selflessness led him to brave the dangers outside their shelter, looking for food and clean water to sustain his family during days of deprivation. Tragically, while mere steps from home, an airstrike shattered their neighborhood, and Hussain fell victim to indiscriminate violence. An iron rod pierced his skull, inflicting grievous wounds, robbing him of an eye, fracturing his skull, and leaving the other eye gravely injured. His lower jaw movement became limited and progressively worsened until he could no longer open his mouth for food or medication as of today (7th of March 2024).
Despite the brave efforts of medical professionals at Nasser Hospital, equipped with little more than determination, they did not have the resources necessary for neurosurgery. For three agonizing days, Hussain lay in the ICU, his life was at risk as cerebrospinal fluid seeped from his nostrils, a stark reminder of Gaza's unyielding plight.
Since his injury on October 17th, Hussain's family has tirelessly pursued evacuation, but bureaucratic hurdles obstruct their path to life-saving treatment beyond Gaza's borders. Heartbreak compounded when it was decreed that only those under 18 years old qualify for evacuation, leaving Hussain and his family ensnared in a desperate struggle for survival.
Tragically, the family's trials multiplied with the recent injury of Ahmed, Hussain's older brother, further compounding their plight. With each passing day, their hope dims as the costs mount to not less than - $5000 per person at the Rafah crossing, a staggering sum beyond their means, other than the expenses to cover their accommodation and healthcare services that this journey will encompass.
Yet, the urgency remains - Hussain, Ahmed, and their devoted mother require evacuation and subsequent care, a lifeline to a semblance of normalcy amidst the chaos.
Hussain, the pillar of his family's welfare, is on the brink of irreversible loss. Like countless others in Gaza, they have been stripped of everything, save for their resilience and undying hope.
Now, more than ever, they need your compassion, your generosity, to rewrite their narrative of despair into one of healing and renewal.
Please, join us in our mission to save Hussain's family. Your support is not just an act of kindness; it is a beacon of hope amidst the darkness, a testament to our shared humanity.
Together, let us ensure Hussain receives the neuro-, maxillofacial and eye surgeries he so desperately needs and pave the way for his family's journey toward recovery and redemption.
