Herbal Distillation Project, Seyisi Primary School

Tracy and Sean are so looking forward to their bridal shower in Old Town! In appreciation and gratitude for the many blessings that have already been "showered" upon them, they invite you to join with them in a special project in lieu of traditional bridal shower gifts.

When visiting South Africa this summer, Diane met with a very special science teacher at Seyisi Primary School. There is too much to be said in this short space, but suffice to say that Ms. Nomonde is making a huge difference in the lives of her students. She could use our help though. Any donations will go toward the purchase of a distillery in the school garden. The students would learn to distill their herbs and develop perfumes and lotions. With an unemployment rate exceeding 80%, children in the township need to learn how to earn an income. Through this project, the students can establish an actual business, and their proceeds would add needed funds to other school programs.
