Garden Mats

Garden Mats, a Vermont-based, 20-year-old business, with online sales throughout the US and Canada, burned to the ground on 1/21/23. Fire departments from 7 towns joined in the effort to contain the blaze.

As the owner, I am already making plans to rebuild. My goal is to reopen late next fall and be ready for the 2024 growing season. Insurance will hardly cover the cost of a new manufacturing facility and all the property that was lost in the fire. We are hoping to raise enough funds to meet our goal with the help of GoFundMe.

To all those who wanted to buy Garden Mats this year, I sincerely apologize.

Many people think we are in the business of making mats. We are. More importantly, we are also in the business of helping people supplement their food supply needs with fresh organic vegetables grown in their backyard.

Garden Mats also help us all fight climate change and battle rising food costs.
