Friends & Family!!
I'm recording a worship album and I need your help to do it!
WHY
While I could offer you a lengthy answer to this question, I’ll just keep it short and simple:
It’s time!
It’s time for me to trust the Lord, and it’s time to give the Church access to these songs.
I’ve felt compelled for some time to personally release a project, but numerous fears have led me to dismiss the idea. (Writing songs for other people and other projects has been great, why change it up now?) It’s time for me to practice what I preach and let faith trump fear. More than that, these songs were written for the Church, and I want the Church to have access to them.
WHAT
This project will include 4 songs (potentially more if we raise $ beyond the goal) that I’ve written over the last two years. These songs are about Jesus. They are from His Word and about His worth. These songs are truths to which I have clung in this season of my life as I’ve ventured through valleys and victories, trials and triumphs, sorrows and success. I can only hope and pray that they’re as helpful for others as they have been for me.
HOW
In October I’ll be in the studio for a week with my friend, David Walker (10000 Fathers) in Atlanta who'll be producing the record. David has worked with artists such as Aaron Keyes, Lee Mcderment, Chris McClarney, and Dee Wilson. Not only is David a prolific producer & songwriter, but he’s also a Worship Pastor himself who understands my heart for writing congregational songs for God’s people. The album will be mastered by NYC based, grammy award winning engineer, Drew Lavyne (Aretha Franklin, Pat Barrett, Shane & Shane, Phil Wickham, Vertical Worship, Matt Redman). The team of musicians are not only some of the best in the business, many of them are dear friends of mine. Needless to say, not only will the record sound fantastic, but the process will be a blast!
COST
A professional level album requires numerous expenses. Everything from producer, mix engineer, mastering engineer, to musicians adds up quick! Beyond that, there are costs to distribute the album digitally to iTunes, Spotify, and many other online stores as well as physical distribution. Rest assured, every dime you donate goes towards the cost of making this record.
TIMELINE
We have 30 days to reach our goal! I plan to start pre-prodcution for the project immediately as funds come in, then will be in the studio officially October 20th. If all goes as planned, we'll start a slow drip of single releases by early December, with the full project expected to release in February 2020.
WHAT I PLAN TO DO WITH IT
Honestly, if no one but my kids sing these songs and embrace these truths I’ll call it a win.
But I hope and pray for more than that. I hope you and your kids sing these songs and embrace these truths. I hope they’ll reach farther than I could ask or imagine.
Ultimately, songs are tools for discipleship. As my friend Matt Papa says, they are sermons that people actually remember.
I wrote these for God’s people, I sing them with God’s people, and I want them to help God’s people worship God.

So what do you say? I can’t do this without you and I'd love for you to partner with me by sowing into this project!
Grateful for your prayers and generosity,
~Gardner
