Gareth, our beloved son and brother, passed away on May 28th 2021.
Music was instrumental in Gareth’s life. At age 13 he was presented with the opportunity to participate in the Lake Tahoe Music Camp - an experience that would solidify his love for music. While majoring in computer science, Gareth continued to pursue his musical craft playing the French horn in the university orchestra. His passion for music thrived while living in Seattle where Gareth's involvement with different community orchestras filled him with joy.
To celebrate Gareth’s love of music and to honor his memory the University of Nevada, Reno will establish a scholarship in Gareth’s name that will provide other deserving students the opportunity to pursue their love of music at the Lake Tahoe Music Camp. Any memorial donations received will be used for that purpose.
