Garfield's Journey: From Feral to Family

This is Garfield. He has been the sweetest outside cat for almost a year now. He’s the first one we caught & had my sissy neuter. It’s not been unusual for the cats to not show up a day or two for Kim’s morning feeding with them. Last night Garfield finally showed up outside, limping a lot & you could just tell he didn’t feel good. We got him to my sister who called me this morning. Someone shot Garfield with shrapnel which was still in his leg. We have 2 choices. We can put him down. Or pay $1,000 to have his leg amputated & make him an inside cat. I have no idea if my inside cats & him would get along? If he would like being an inside cat? Is he too feral? So many questions.
