Garillo Gait Trainer

Hi as many of you know I have been vey sick in hospital for over 40 days now, I have lost over 22kg in weight and all my muscles have deteriorated over this time, I have gone from walking and running and jumping on trampolines to not being able to stand and hold my weight at all. Every one has done an amazing job of caring and loving me while I have been sick but now I need to learn to walk again and to do this I will have to retrain my brain and body to learn to work together. My mum has found me a Garillo Gait Training Walking Frame that will hold my body up enough to learn to take steps and walk. Rather than jumping through months of hoops trying to get funding through the NDIS and then waiting on it to arrive my family have made the decision to try to raise the funds as quickly as possible in order to get me moving again towards independence.   Any additional funds raised will help with home modifications that need to be made to accommodate my new wheels in the house and some bathroom changes such as non slip flooring, hand rails for balance when I will be able to independently stand.  I will need a specialised bed that can  adjust easily to be able to get me in and out of bed comfortably.  In my house I do not have an entry way that is just for me and I would love to be able to access my section of the house privately this requires a long ramp to be built and my own front door at the moment the only way into my section of the house is either up 12 steep stairs or through my mum’s lounge room.  So I am reaching out to all of my family and friends to ask for your help, if you have a little spare change to put towards the new changes in my lifestyle I would be forever grateful and promise I will work very hard to make you all proud of me.
