The Hall Family
Donation protected
On May 20th, a devastating house fire severely damaged the home of the Hall family. Thankfully, Caitlin, Drew and their five young children were all safe. Sadly, they were without homeowners insurance at the time of the fire. Nothing was left of their main living areas including the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Other areas of the home suffered extensive damage from smoke, water, and the work to save the structure from the fire.
With the help of family, friends, and local businesses, Drew has already started the work to remove all ruined items from the home and clean out the fire damage. Once the demo is complete they will need to work to rebuild the interior rooms including drywall, flooring, trim, cabinets, insulation, and appliances. After the work to rebuild the interior is complete, they will work on the finishing touches to make this house a home again for their family.
During this work, the family will continue to need temporary accommodations. Unfortunately with the amount of work to be done this will take some time.
The family is grateful for all of the support they have received through the gofundme campaign and donations of items they will need to rebuild the home.
If you are looking for other ways to help the family, here are some ways you can help:
- Leads on reduced-cost childcare options/programs
- Donated/discounted building materials. Drywall, Trim, Carpet/flooring, Cabinets, Twin Mattresses (4), Appliances (Refrigerator, Microwave), Bathroom fixtures (tub), and tile.
- If you have connections to local businesses, please ask if they would also donate materials, labor, or financial resources.
- Spread the word through your social networks.
Thanks to the generosity of Justin McCabe, PuroClean is storing large donations at their warehouse. Donations need to be coordinated to ensure that there are no duplicates and to arrange drop-off/transportation. Please use the contact function on this campaign to reach out directly about any items you may be able to donate.
