Garlick Family Ministry Van

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” – Matthew 7:7-8

We need your help to raise funds for this Ford Transit van.

This is an answer to prayer and a need for more time before the throne of grace!

When our third daughter Abigail was born, we realized that our ford focus was too small for us to fit our family. We began to pray, and I must confess my faith was not what it should have been. My wife had been taught to pray specifically. She, having faith to move mountains, prayed for a mini-van with everything she knew we would need or want in our new car. I asked her where she expected to get the money to pay for such a van, and she replied, “From God.” I told her good luck and didn’t think much of it after that. Within a matter of weeks, God paid for it just like my wife had prayed! That van pictured here is now over 418,000 miles on the odometer and, by His grace, still chugging along. My first responsibility is to be a husband and father. Our vehicle allows me to fulfill that role while we travel together.

This year our family once again outgrew our vehicle, and while we were so excited to receive our Baby Sean into our family, we knew that In the Lord's timing, He would open the door once again for us to get the vehicle we prayed for. And pray we did. His timing is perfect; this week, He opened the door to find the van we have been praying for. Here we are with the new van.

It was a miracle that we found it and even more so how God has opened the door for making it ours. We have 60 days of special financing with no interest. We are calling on you, our faithful supporter and prayer warrior, to help us raise the money to pay for this vehicle before that deadline expires. We need to raise forty thousand by February 7th to meet the goal. That’s as few as forty churches each giving one thousand, or eighty giving 500. God has said that in the tillage of the poor there is much bread, and He uses little lunches to feed the five thousand. Please pray as we look for God to provide through His people once again for His ministry's needs.

¡Esta es una respuesta a la oración y también una necesidad de mucho más tiempo delante el trono de la gracia!

Cuando nació nuestra hija Abigail, nos dimos cuenta de que nuestro carro era demasiado pequeño para acomodar a nuestra familia. Empezamos a orar y debo confesar que mi fe no era lo que debería haber sido. A mi esposa le habían enseñado a orar específicamente. Ella, teniendo fe para mover montañas, oró por un miniván con todo lo que sabía que necesitaríamos o querríamos en nuestro auto nuevo. Le pregunté de dónde esperaba sacar el dinero para pagar esa camioneta y me respondió: “De Dios”. Le dije buena suerte y no pensé mucho al respeto después de eso. En cuestión de semanas, ¡Dios pagó por ello tal como mi esposa había orado! La camioneta que se muestra aquí ahora tiene más de 418,000 millas en el odómetro. Mi primera responsabilidad es de ser esposo y padre. Nuestro vehículo me permite cumplir en esta área que Dios me encargo.

Este año, nuestra familia una vez más superó la capacidad del vehículo y mientras estábamos tan emocionados de recibir a nuestro bebé Sean, sabíamos que, en el tiempo del Señor, Él abriría la puerta una vez más para que obtuviéramos lo que habíamos orado. Y orábamos bastante. Sus caminos son perfectos; la semana pasada, abrió la puerta para que encontráramos la camioneta por la que habíamos orado. Aquí estamos con el nuevo vehiculo.

Fue un milagro que lo encontráramos y más aún cómo Dios nos ha abierto la puerta para hacerlo nuestro. Disponemos de 60 días de financiación especial sin intereses. Le rogamos, nuestro fiel amigo en apoyo y guerrero de oración, para que nos ayude a recaudar el dinero para pagar este vehículo antes de que expire la fecha. Necesitamos recaudar cuarenta mil dólares para el 7 de febrero para alcanzar la meta. Parece mucho, pero si cuarenta dan mil, u ochenta dan quinientos, lo logramos. Dios ha dicho que en el barbecho del pobre hay mucho pan, y El usa el almuerzo chiquito para alimentar a los cinco mil. Por favor oren mientras buscamos que Dios provea a través de Su pueblo una vez más para las necesidades del ministerio.
