Garrett's Eagle Scout Project

My name is Garrett Saylor and I am a Life Scout in Troop 2 of Summerville, South Carolina. Scouting has provided me many opportunities to develop my leadership skills and service to others. My next step in scouting is to complete an Eagle Scout Project to further demonstrate this leadership of others while benefiting my community.

For my project I have chosen to organize an event to show appreciation and support for our local law enforcement; focusing on the Dorchester County Sherriff’s Office and Summerville Police Department. The event will consist of cooking and serving 400 barbeque meals to law enforcement and will be held on Saturday, March 18th, 2017. Another part of my project will be donating two displays to honor the officers of Dorchester County Sherriff’s Office who have died in the line of duty.

I will need donations totaling $1,500 to cover the expenses of the barbeque and the displays. I hope that you will consider supporting my project and our local law enforcement by donating and sharing this with your friends and family. All funds raised will be used for the project and for the support of law enforcement.
