Some of you may know that our close friend Garrison Hahn underwent a failed heart procedure and almost lost his life recently (April 2021).
The procedure was unsuccessful and had to be terminated early when his vitals became critical. He had to remain in the ICU for weeks before being stabilized. He was then able to transfer to rehabilitation where he spent an additional week recovering. All the time away from his kettle corn store cost them their business and livelihood. They had to shut down their kettle corn business altogether which eliminated their only source of income. He is physically unable to work and the prognosis for being able to work anytime soon does not look good. He does not qualify for Social Security disability benefits. His wife is looking for a job while helping Garrison with daily life activities. With 3 children (15, 12 & 8) they are looking at very hard times ahead. Any help for the Hahn’s will be much appreciated. The challenge of paying medical bills and rent after a few months when their savings are exhausted add to the stress of having gone through such a traumatic procedure and knowing he needs to recover well enough to endure it again.
