Garry Deremer

Whether you know Garry Deremer (Poppa Derm) from the Pop Warner football field, Oak Ridge Little League (I dare you to find a better league president), Oak Grove High School athletics, supporting the Goldston, Hayes, Remeiro, or Murray families at dance recitals, college/minor league baseball fields, eating extra crispy bacon, or just having a cup of coffee at the screen printing shop…..one thing we can all agree on is that Garry, don’t call him Mr. Deremer is extremely loved by all.

Back in 2020 Garry was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, and kind of like his sons and grandkids on the pitchers mound…HE WON!!! Unfortunately cancer is a nasty animal, and the Deremer family recently found out that it came back in an incurable form. Since Garry loves his family so much, he decided to forego the next round of chemo and live out his best possible life with his family….Hospice starts on Wednesday 7/13.
