Garry Sorrell

Garry was hospitalized on Thursday, January 5th, 2023 at a Lufkin hospital for a severe blood clot in his right arm. By the following day, his condition began declining rapidly and he was care flighted to Houston later that evening. His doctors diagnosed him with sepsis (bacteria in the bloodstream), compartment syndrome in his right arm, DIC (disseminated intravascular coagulation - a critically dangerous condition where blood clots form throughout the body), pneumonia, a urinary tract infection, kidney failure, liver failure, low red blood cells, low platelet levels and many other issues. He is fighting for his life and faces a rough road ahead. However, we hold on to what we know is true - God is good. And He is on the move. We have already seen His miracles at work and we trust that He's not done yet.

If you know our family at all, you know we have a hard time asking for help. We definitely don't ask people for money. But we've found ourselves in a situation we never expected to be in. The medical bills will be extravagant - with the care flight and two ICU hospitals; as well as hotel fees so family can be close by. Not to mention the fact that Garry won't be working for a while. When he walks out of that hospital, we want the last thing on his mind to be how he is going to take care of all of this.

Please don’t feel obligated to give. You may be a close family member or friend but unable to give right now. That’s ok! We know these are tough times for so many people right now. What we need more than anything is your prayers. God hears each one of them. Thank you all for your love and support that you’ve surrounded our family with. We have been blown away by the outpouring of love for Garry and for our family. Thank each and every one of you. We are all getting through this together - one day at a time.
