Garry Sparling’s Road to Recovery

This GoFund Me is being started for one of the most incredible guys we know. In early December of 2020, Garry Sparling began to feel unwell and decided to take time off to get tests and procedures done to figure out what was going on. With a crazy year of all the ups and downs of the global pandemic, while also caring for his injured wife for a better part of the year, Garry was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer in January of 2021, adding more stress and worry into his life. Being known as a hard worker, Garry has had to take a step back and is no longer able to work right now as he goes through chemo treatments and minor surgeries to help beat this terrible disease.

Anyone who knows Garry is aware of the amazing person he is. He’s the kind of guy to treat you like family.  He’s one ofthe most caring, genuine, courteous and strong willed people we know. He would go above and beyond to help anyone out, no matter the situation. Garry’s generosity and respect is widely known through this town. His unique personality mix of humor and jest with his appreciation and kindness towards those in his community makes him such an outstanding person that everyone should have the pleasure of knowing. His work family at Ideal Supply has nothing but amazing things to say about him. His jokes, shenanigans, upbeat personality and kind words are being missed and work is just not the same without him; not seeing him everyday has definitely been an adjustment on the branch.

His most recent appointment confirms that the cancer has not spread, which is great news but even though Garry has already had one surgery, he has more to go while still waiting to begin chemo and once that is complete, begin radiation.​During this time, Garry is self isolating.

​Driving back forth for appointments with extra costs and with the upcoming next steps on his road to recovery, we would like to help support Garry. With the help of his community, family and friends, we feel we can achieve this goal and help Garry feel more at ease during this journey.
