Gary Adams Medical & Recovery Expenses
Donation protected
On May 30, 2023, Gary was picking up food donated to the Union Gospel Mission in Salem, Oregon. On one of his pickup stops, he came out of a McDonald's only to find a man inside his work vehicle. As he tried to pull the man out of the truck, the man put the truck in reverse. Gary lost his grip, and then the man put the truck in drive and Gary was run over by the rear duals. The thief was eventually caught by police in Woodburn after causing more damage and totaling the truck.
Gary is now in a Portland hospital suffering from a broken pelvis, a broken hip, and a shattered right leg. After two surgeries to pin his bones back together he now faces many months of recovery and therapy.
I am not one to ask for help and charity but I am swallowing my pride and asking for your help. Gary is a very special human being and did not deserve this to happen to him. I am hoping to make his recovery less stressful and also thinking of what he will need in the future. We recently purchased a two story townhouse. All the bedrooms and shower are on the second floor. I am asking for your help to make modifications to his home so he will be able to live in it after recovery. I am also hoping to ease his mind regarding future expenses related to this incident. If you can't donate, please pray he his recovery. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
