Gary Barnes "Bug"

On January 2nd my dad, Gary Barnes, a disabled veteran, died of cardiac arrest. When he was taken off support, his closest family and friends were in attendance for his final moments. My mom, Amy Barnes, inherited all the financial burden for his funeral. Amy is a disabled mother who doesn't have the $5,000 it takes for a funeral sitting around. I can't contribute the funds I wish I could as a college student but I would love to help her through this rough time. Anything helps and I would greatly appreciate you even reading this far. Please help a struggling mom do right by my dad.

Gary's funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 11 at the Lee Chapel of Sytsema funeral services. There will be a visitation from 12-1 pm and the service will begin at 1 pm. A luncheon at the Fruitport Eagles will follow the service. If you knew Gary, come celebrate his life.

It was lovely to hear all the stories about my dad from his friends who were there in his last moments and I look forward to hearing more from those who loved him. Thank you,
