Gary Everitt

Gary has had 2 strokes.  The first was a few days before I had to have major surgery. They got him to the hospital and gave him clot busting drugs that helped and we thought all was good.   The second one was two weeks after my surgery. He was taken to the hospital. This one was a big one. It affected his speech and the  whole right side of his body.  He had a clot in the major artery in the left side of his neck. They did an angiogram and pulled the clot out.  He regained the use of his right side but he has trouble with his speech and the ability to do more than one thing at a time.  He was in inpatient therapy and has been released to outpatient therapy.  He will not be able to drive for 4 to 6 more weeks.  We are not sure when he will be released to go back to work.  He did not have short or long term disability.  If he does not work, he does not get paid.  We are starting our third week of no pay.  We are in need of money to stay in our home and pay utilities.
