Gary Morton End of Life and Final Expenses Fund

Donation protected
Gary Morton is a 72 year old Army veteran residing in Michigan. Gary fought in Vietnam and was exposed to Agent Orange while serving his country.

For the last 12+ years, Agent Orange has been destroying his body inside and out. Gary has lymphedema in his legs that has rendered him wheelchair bound. He has been in and out of the hospital countless times for infections, sepsis, congestive heart failure and more. We’ve been able to keep things stable until recently.

Just after the new year, Gary was admitted to the hospital with what turned out to be congestive heart failure again. Doctors have worked hard to get the fluid off him, but his kidneys aren’t having it. He is currently in stage 4 renal failure and we have been left with difficult decision to enter into hospice.

Gary has always said he doesn’t want to suffer or be miserable so the dedicated hospice team will ensure he is comfortable and receiving the care he needs.

I started this GoFundMe to help with any expenses that might arise while going through the hospice care and ultimately, his funeral expenses. Anything can help ease the burden so we, as a family, can enjoy the final days we have as no one is guaranteed a tomorrow.

I appreciate you taking the time to read Gary’s story.
