Gary Showalter we miss you already!

Gary Showalter was swiftly taken away from us on 2/13/2023, which was way too soon and no time to react. He was healthy, busy and almost spent the whole day helping other people and this was how he lived his entire life. Being selfless and being a BIG supporter of Sonia Showalter (his wife). Helped raise my oldest child and always gave a helping hand for our other two daughters and the rest of his Grandkids. We never thought in a million years we wouldn't be able to see him again and visit again and just say Hi. We just saw him 3 short months ago and the kids dial him up almost every day on Facetime. We feel so helpless and want to set Sonia Showalter up to be strong and live a long and healthy life despite Gary Showalter leaving us. He also has two older daughters Heather and Charlotte that are devastated. It wasn't supposed to be this way!!! Not at all!
He served the Church for as long as I can remember, always volunteered, always singing and playing music and never complained. Always kept trying to squeeze more into the day. We never knew how to give back other than do what we could do to fix things around the house, fix a tire, fix a car while we visited or do the little things...what do you give someone that is content and never asks for anything? We miss you and although we are heartbroken...we know God has plans and we do not yet know what those plans are, but we love you forever and ever.
