Gary Swenson

My name is Mary Wagle and I’m raising funds for my nephew, Gary Swenson. Gary has had heart problems his entire life. His first open heart surgery was when he was 19 months old to repair a hole in his heart that encompassed his septum. He had another open heart surgery when he was 24 years old to replace a valve. Now that he’s 51 years old he recently had such major problems with his heart that he got admitted to Sutter Hospitals Heart Transplant Program. Gary received a new heart and also a kidney from an un-named donor who was 29 years old. Gary has not gained consciousness yet as his surgery was only three days ago. Gary has been unable to work for a year, so his fiancé, Christina, has been that family’s sole provider and insurer. Gary has three living children, aged 26, 14, and 12. Gary and his ex-wife had a baby who died shortly after birth, and they donated all of her organs to save multiple lives. We’re hoping Gary gets paid back and that his surgery is very successful.
