Gary-Taco Guy was Hit & Broke a Hip Donate & God Bless

Gary the Taco Guy has worked at Taco Bell on 82nd and University Ave for almost 6 years and on Friday, May 3rd, he was struck by a car and broke his hip in 2 places. He had surgery and now has metal rods in his hip and leg to help him walk. If ya'll have seen Gary before you might have noticed he walks with cane and is slow but always kind and helpful. He does not have insurance, and we found out that he also had several strokes he was unaware of but now will hopefully be able to get therapy for. It is going to be a long road of recovery. His family have been asked by several people how the Taco Guy (Gary) is doing and how they can help, so here you go everyone....We are trying to help raise funds to help with his medical funds, therapy, bills for time off work and many other things. Right now we are trying to get him approved for so many things but it takes time, so we are asking our community that he so loves to please give him some love back.

Update 5/9/24

I want to thank everyone for their prayers and gifts of love and compassion. God has blessed Gary and his family today. Through a curious turn of events, we needed to find Gary's ID and also found an insurance card that he was not aware of. Thank God for great miracles and blessings.

Update 5/13/24

Over the weekend the doctors took several X-rays of Gary's ankle because it was swollen and turning all kinds of different colors. They found a crack and now are going to do surgery on it today Monday. Such a crazy weekend since it was Mother's day weekend as well. Gary says Happy Mother's day to all the Mother's out there.
