Gary Links Medical Fund

For those of you who have been lucky enough to know Gary Link, you know that he is a "giver". Growing up in St. Clairsville, he grew up on a farm. He always had a great neighborly "farm" attitude and exhibited it in everything he did. Whether he was lending a hand with a project or just shoveling snow for an elderly neighbor, he was always there to help. He never expected anything in return, he just is that kind of guy.
In July, Gary fell from a ladder while he was helping roof his son's house. He sustained multiple injuries, including massive head trauma. He was life-flighted to OSU Medical where he was in intensive care for over four weeks. Finally, Gary was put into a medical surge room and currently awaiting transfer to a rehabilitation facility for extensive physical therapy. To put it mildly, he really got his bell rung. It is going to be a long road to recovery and we hope that he will fully regain all of his memory and physical functions.
Gary does have a special dream. He was hoping to build a home on a piece of property that he owns. He had spent hours designing his house. He loves his family and was planning to be able to spend time with his grandson Nathan. I can picture Gary in the backyard pushing his grandson Nathan on a tire swing.
I am sure Gary is thinking about how this tragedy has impacted his life. He will not be able to return to the workforce and the medical bills will surely deplete any savings he had.
So I am asking you to do two things. Open up your hearts in two ways. Donate whatever you can to help keep Gary's dreams alive. And most importantly, grasp that neighborly "farm" attitude and help friends and neighbors in any way you can.
Thank you for your consideration!
