Gary McMall's ALS Care Fund

Just two years ago Gary McMall was doing what so many others of us were: the ice bucket challenge. Gary was happy and healthy in this video while he was assisting in raising money and awareness of ALS. Little did he know that in less than two years he would be diagnosed with the disease.
On behalf of the McMall and Handley families of Saginaw, Michigan we are creating this page for Gary McMall and his family. If you know Gary you know what a tremendous man he is. He is a dedicated husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He is kind, generous and has been incredibly supportive to so many of us in his family and to those in the Saginaw community.
Millions of dollars were raised for important research with the ice bucket challenge but unfortunately as of today, and on the near horizon, there is no cure. ALS is a debilitating disease that causes those diagnosed to be physically disabled and in need of very special care. Gary’s symptoms are progressing and are creating substantial financial needs that are not covered by health insurance.
Gary and Beth need to adapt their home to his situation. Climbing or descending stairs has already become difficult. He needs wheelchair access in his living quarters, in-home nursing care and will need a special vehicle. Gary and his family are to a point where they need your assistance. Care for this disease is extremely difficult on family finances when so much is not covered by insurance: Care that is critical to the quality and length of Gary's life.
As a result we are starting this page, with their reluctant permission, to help the McMalls take some of the financial pain away from this very difficult time. It is extremely important for Gary to focus on his health and not be concerned about how his ALS expenses will be paid.
Please join us in helping the McMall family. Any monetary support that you can give will assist in taking some of this worry away from Gary and Beth as they navigate their way through this incredibly difficult process.
To donate to Gary's ALS Care Fund, please do so through this site. With gratitude, we thank you.
