Supplies for Kids of Gaudenzia

Tax deductible
Gaudenzia is a non-profit that helps people in Baltimore who are affected by chemical dependency and mental illness achieve a better quality of life. This is accomplished through comprehensive treatment and prevention methods guided by a philosophy of mutual concern and responsibility. Serving over 18,000 individuals annually, Gaudenzia currently operates 141 drug and alcohol treatment programs for men and women in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware. Gaudenzia's programs serve adolescents, pregnant/parenting women, co-occuring individuals (mentally ill and substance abusing), HIV/AIDS symptomatic individuals and homeless individuals.  In addition to their treatment programs, Gaudenzia also conducts research and educates the community on the causes, treatment and prevention of addictions, mental illness and related conditions.

Business Volunteer's GIVE Program is designed to raise awareness among the next generation of civic leaders about the growing need for volunteerism. The curriculum educates classmates on key community issues, inspires them to make a meaningful difference in their community and develops the necessary skills for success.

Together with Gaudenzia, all monies raised by GIVE will be used to purchase home goods and school supplies for the children of mothers undergoing treatment at Gaudenzia. More often then not, these children come into the center with only the clothes on their back and are in desperate need of supplies. Such items being purchased include, but are not limited to: art supplies, books, interactive toys, puzzles and games, learning materials, walkers, blankets and children's medicine.
